I want to honor that Cat Over Clock studios rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers.

I also honor that I lived on the sacred lands of the Hopi, Diné, Apache, Pueblo, Havasupi, Yavapai, and Tohono O’dham while residing in New Mexico and Arizona from 1980 until 2013. I respect the ancestral heritage that I was honored to learn about from friends that are of these Indigenous peoples and hope that I always act in accordance with preserving and honoring these cultures, memories, and stories. As an author and researcher, it is my social responsibility and pledge that if and when stories are known to me I will respect the intent for the stories to be repeated in any format and will never retell a story that is not meant to be retold. I will share the stories of oppression and recognize them. I will always care for your home, this Earth. Sincerely, b bell
