She said to me
“I miss you”
What a delight–
Eyes connecting again over a past time
that is substantially or not at all
different
as it bounces around in our six eyes
“I miss you.”
Because there is nothing like
Your fashion sense,
Your laughter, urgency,
and your dancing passion.
“I miss you.”
Because there is nothing like
Your perfect brownies
Your smile, conviction,
and your answer to everything.

Time and space has nothing on
the heiaus my heart built for you
