October fourth

Clink. Slice. Sizzle.

You open the door and tell me
The whole world smells amazing

Preparations:
Maybe a carrot, pepper, leaves of kale
The aroma of Italian herbs
Over fresh mozzarella.
For more sesame seeds
Than you could find in a tub of tahini
You will find my love.

Love in each bite
Love in each brush of your fingers
Touch me as I turn the stove knobs
Kiss my neck as I drain the pasta
Everything you say melts the butter
Heats the ovens, broils the cheese
Finds us at the end of the fork.
